Note 1: Voetbalvereniging 'Rijssen Vooruit' (often referred to by locals simply as RV or 'Errevee') saw the daylight in 1909 and played at Sportterrein Stokmansveldweg from that same year onwards. In 1928, a wooden stand was erected, known as the 'Engelse tribune' or 'English stand' because its design was copied from an English original. In 2019, Rijssen Vooruit concluded a merger with town rivals RKSV - incidentally also the club who so emphatically beat RV in the match I attended at Stokmansveldweg -, resulting in the foundation of SV Rijssen. Following the merger, all activities moved to RKSV's Sportpark De Koele, renamed Sportpark 't Opbroek in 2020. RV's ground had to make way for housing (cp. last photo in the series below), but fortunately the wooden stand was preserved as it was taken apart piece by piece and stored for the time being - and rebuilt at Sportpark 't Opbroek's pitch 2 in the spring of 2022. From mid-2022 onwards, upon the re-inauguration of the monumental stand, this pitch 2 will be SV Rijssen's main pitch.
