Stade Prior, Tournay = Tournai = Doornik (formerly ES Moumel / SC Tournai Vert Bocage / training ground of Renouveau US Tournai)
Belgium, province: Hainaut = Henegouwen
April 2022 / no match visited
Note: Entente Sportive Moumel saw the daylight in 1979 (matricule 8806) as a club representing two hamlets just north of Tournay, Melles and Mourcourt - Moumel being an acronym of the two villages' names. In 1991, however, the club changed its name and moved to Tournay proper, becoming Sporting Club Tournai Vert Bocage and playing their football at a pitch in the town itself known as 'Le Prior'. This club ceased all activities after the 2005/06 season. Following this, the ground fell into disrepair and remained unused for over ten years. In 2018/19, the Stade Prior was used by Renouveau US (RUS) Tournai (matricule 9554) for training purposes until they abandoned the premises due to ongoing vandalism going on in and outside the clubhouse. There were advanced plans to completely renovate the ground, but due to a conflict between RUS Tournai's club president, who had paid for an architect to design a new clubhouse, and part of the other board members, the project was stalled - and for good when the chairman left the club. What remained of the clubhouse was knocked down in the early months of 2022. Meanwhile, the erstwhile football pitch has been turned into a public park.
