Stade des Fusillés, Saint-Mard (Royal Athletic Club Saint-Mard)

Belgium, province: Luxembourg = Luxemburg

16 IV 2022 / RAC Saint-Mard - RES Aubange 5-3 / Belgian Luxembourg, Provincial League 1 (= BE level 6)

Note 1: Athletic Club Saint-Mard, founded in 1941 (matricule 3203, obtaining the royal epithet in 1991), initially played their football at Stade Solumont, occupied nowadays by Virton's golf club. In approximately 1989 (exact year to be confirmed), the club moved into the Stade des Fusillés, a municipal sports complex with an athletics track surrounding the football pitch. In 2010-11, when Saint-Mard's omnipotent club president Pierre Friob was an alderman in Virton's town council, the more modest first clubhouse was replaced with a giant, new covered stand.

Note 2: Below, a compilation of photos of two different visits: pictures 1-3 = non-matchday visit, August 2011 (main stand under construction) / pictures 4-22 = match visit, April 2022.
